You've probably heard about "splitting" user stories, but often the idea is mentioned without any real concrete idea of what it involves. In this talk we are going to look at why splitting user stories is valuable, some theory about how to do it, and then look at some real world examples of splitting users stories.

Why is this important? Not every piece of a story takes the same amount of time. Not ever piece provides the same value. By splitting stories we can give customers more valuable things sooner while deferring the pieces that will offer less value until later. Splitting stories gives your team options for efficiency that do not exist when dealing with monolithic stories.
